Rainy River Ontario 
Rainy River has approximately 1,000 residents located on the Ontario-Minnesota border, within a three hour's drive of Winnipeg and just 22 kilometers (14 miles) south of Lake of the Woods. The Rainy River valley is an area of magnificent lakes and rivers, mixed woodlands and wildlife habitat. Originally a fur trading and lumber settlement, the town of Rainy River remains a vital transportation center with Canadian National Railway. Located across from Baudette, Minnesota, Rainy River provides access to the United States highway system. You could say we are also the last stop on the street since we are also the terminus for the world's longest street -- Yonge Street (Hwy. 11) which originates in Toronto.
